The ForeRunner 10 is much easier to use than my previous Garmin watch, the 405CX, which I replaced because the lap/reset button failed after less than three years. The 10 has fewer features, but it satisfies my simpler needs perfectly for less than half the price of the 405 - I'm primarily interested in pace and distance.
I am curious to know what sort of battery life folks have been experiencing with GPS + heart rate activated. This watch purports a 13-hour battery life when GPS is activated, but I've found a ~20% drain in battery life after an hour run. I have deactivated all battery-draining features as recommended in the Forerunner 45 manual. BdC7dU.
