This is the only power unit in the line that existed in versions of both Zetec and Zetec-E. I've pushed my stock Zetec to a little more that 6000rpm, but that about all I've felt comfortable without knowing what's safe and where the limiter kicks in. I hear the SVT Focus limit is 7300rpm. Ford originally names the engine as a Zeta then changed it to Zetec. From 2003 the name was changed again to Duratec but the Duratec name covers more than one engine family and more than one generation, and different cylinder counts, with more later models being a completely different Mazda designed L-engine with intake VCT and DBW throttle.
Now available to buy on its own. Brand new genuine ford crated 2.0 Black Top engine. This is not a reconditioned unit. Comes in the original ford crate. Engine only. Does not include the exhaust manifold or inlet manifold. These are automatic engines so a manual crank sensor bracket will be required for manual gearbox applications. Auto and manual sensors are the same only the bracket needs
