I'm using Linux 18.3 Sylvia with Cinnamon 3.6.6 desktop environment and I'm having a problem getting Bluetooth to work with my computer. I'm using a USB Bluetooth dongle. I know that the dongle works because I used it on another operating system and it worked then.
This was tested with kernel 5.5.13 and a cheap Bluetooth 5.0 dongle from AliExpress, and it now lets me connected to a Bluetooth 5.0 headset. The dongle works just fine under Windows 10 by the way. Addition: Turning Off USB Auto-Suspend. The auto-suspension of USB ports can interfere with Bluetooth USB dongles.

Charge up both devices you're trying to pair. Some devices have smart power management that may turn off Bluetooth if the battery level is too low. If your phone or tablet isn't pairing, make sure

to see if bluetooth is blocked? if it is not blocked and you need to troubleshoot further, it may help to know if the adapter is a usb or is built into the system. either way it should show up in the output of the command. lsusb. if you can post the line that has info about your adapter, that may help. OP.
To uninstall the CSR_BTPORT_01 driver, follow the steps below: Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, type devmgmt.msc, and then hit Enter. Expand Bluetooth. If the CSR_BTPORT_01 driver is not located under Bluetooth, then you can look for it under Other devices. Right-click CSR_BTPORT_01, and then select Uninstall.
